Climate change is caused by the increase carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere.  

The concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is 416 parts per million. The main cause is the combustion of fossil fuels. 

2019 was the second warmest year on record. The temperature was  1.15 oC higher than pre-industrial levels.

800 million people are vulnerable to the effects of climate change. These most affected are also the least developed and capable to deal with the negative consequences. 

The last time we had this amount of CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere, the Earth was 2-3 oC warmer and the sea level was 10-20 meters higher.
